Nightmare on Main: Ghost Town, Shadows of the Past

7-9:30 PM tours every 30 minutes

CT Eastern Railroad Museum

$15 pp, not for youngsters, 10 and over

Walk through a 19th century ghost town depicting historical events in the saloon, jail house, and the old school house.  Encounter hobos, card sharks and grave diggers.  Bring a flashlight.

Mr. Jillson's Wake

Saturdays & Sundays, 12-4

Jillson House

627 Main St, Willimantic, CT

Free, donations welcome

Mr. Jillson, one of the town's most important businessmen, has died and his wake is in the family parlor.  You are invited to "say goodbye" and learn the customs associated with death and dying in the 1800's-1900's.  You will even receive a wake "token".

Special presentation on death and dying will be:

A reenactment of the real Witch Trials that happened in CT in the 17th century, 50 years before Salem.  You can be part of the trial.  Witches should come in costume!

Everything you always wanted to know about Witches and More!  Folklore, famous witches, modern day witches, spells, and how witches have been seen (and portrayed) throughout history.  Come dressed as a witch, have your picture taken and be added to our "Beauty Contest".

Explore 4 lost neighborhoods:  Sodom, Old State, Jillson Hill and the Parcel.  Meet at the Mill Museum.  Discuss why neighborhoods are destroyed and the effect on those who live there.

Grave Tales

Free, donations welcome

Haunted tours of local cemeteries where you will meet famous ghosts, learn about the architects and sculptures as well as symbols on the stones and folklore.
